History of Rhodes and how to reach there

Rhodes is an ancient city of Greece with a varied history behind it. It is also the largest island with incredible beaches, archaeological sites making it an amazing destination for travellers across the world.   • Epta Piges. (Seven springs)- the place has an enchanting walking trail amidst nature
  • Filerimos Hill – it has the remains from the Medieval era and has a monastery and a church

Tranquil Beaches

Rhodes has quite a few beaches which are tranquil and make for memorable holidays. Lindos, kalithea, Faliraki, Ladiko are beautiful beaches which are absolutely stunning with modern amenities and have options like surfing and kite boarding. There are many taverns also on the long sandy beaches which give ample options for salvaging the taste buds.

Yearly Events

The festival of Saint Paul on the small bay avove Lindos is celerated in the month of June. Locals celebrate the feast of Agios Georgios in Pastida in April and the feast of Agia Kyriaki in Kalathos in July.

The Medieval Rose Festival takes place in summer, which has exhibitions, concerts, theatrical plays and other events. International Film Festival is where guests will enjoy documentaries, short films with environmental and ecological themes The Sound and Light Show is a great watch organized in the Old Fortress of Rhodes Town.

The famous Marco Polo cafe is situated right at the Marco polo Mansion; it can be an ultimate choice for a romantic and quiet dinner with a breathtaking view of the city. The Kyma Beach Restaurant is an absolute delight to the food lovers with their array of traditional Greek cuisine. The place also gives a wonderful view of the sunset. Mavirkos the oldest restaurant of the city is famous for its cuisine all over Greece. For somebody who loves sea –food, Hatzikelis is a clear winner.
